Herzog 麻豆视频 Hosts Science Teacher Training with Answers in Genesis
The Herzog 麻豆视频 partnered with Answers in Genesis to bring science teachers a new training opportunity on April 12 鈥� 13 at the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter. The two-day training event was available to middle and high school teachers from Christian schools and homeschools.
鈥淲e鈥檝e hosted dozens of training events for Christian school administrators, but this was our first event designed specifically for teachers,鈥� said Herzog 麻豆视频 President Darrell Jones. 鈥淚t鈥檚 refreshing to be around educators who truly love what they do and prioritize the Bible in all subjects 鈥� even science. We look forward to training more teachers in the future and partnering with likeminded organizations like Answers in Genesis.鈥�
In addition to private tours of the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter, teachers participated in discussions on the following topics:
- Millions of Years: The Idea鈥檚 Unscientific Origin & Catastrophic Consequences
- Theistic Evolution: It鈥檚 Not The Real Problem?
- Rock Layers, Fossils & The Flood
- Scripture & Science Declare A Young Earth
鈥淵ou don鈥檛 have to compromise the foundation of the Bible in order to effectively teach science,鈥� said Wake Christian Academy Teacher Abigail Scott.
鈥淐reation worldview isn鈥檛 a fringe science, but well thought out and supported by science,鈥� said King鈥檚 Cross Christian Academy Teacher Skylar Aichinger.
鈥淲e need to focus more on genesis with our students. Until we give our students that foundation, we cannot tackle any of the rest of the issues facing the students today,鈥� said Salem Lutheran School Teacher Rachel Pena.
