Of the 12 Teachers of the Year, seven hold master鈥檚 degrees. Some have taught for over 40 years, and some of their teaching careers are only just beginning. Collectively, the Teachers of the Year represent eight different states: Georgia, Iowa, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.
In addition to their designations as 2023 Herzog 麻豆视频 Teachers of the Year, John Elliott, vice chairman of the Herzog 麻豆视频 Board of Directors, announced at the gala that each teacher and their schools will receive $2,500.
“Thank you to the 12 Christian Teachers of the Year for being such positive influences in the lives of our nation鈥檚 students,” said special guest William Barr in a virtual address. “More than that, what you鈥檙e doing is essential to the most fundamental right we have: religious liberty. To anyone of faith, there鈥檚 nothing more important than passing the faith on to your children. That is the greatest gift you can give your children, and it is your highest duty to God.”
